What platforms do you monitor?
Reddit, X, YouTube, Hacker News, and Bluesky. Every platform is covered on both plans. The difference between Plus and Pro is how often we check.
What is AI relevance filtering?
Every mention is scored from 0 to 100 for how much it is actually about your brand. A post asking which tool to buy scores high; a fish finder listed on r/fishing scores low and never reaches you. This eliminates false positives so your team only sees what matters.
How often are mentions updated?
Scan frequency depends on your plan. Plus checks supported sources daily, and Pro checks supported sources as often as hourly.
How does sentiment analysis work?
Each mention is automatically classified as positive, negative, or neutral. You can filter your feed by sentiment to quickly find praise, complaints, or neutral discussions about your brand.
Can I track competitor brands?
Yes, on Plus and Pro plans. Competitors count toward your total monitor limit, and you can add up to 5 competitors on Plus or 20 on Pro alongside your primary brand. Each competitor gets its own keywords and mentions.
How do alerts and notifications work?
You can receive alerts via email or Slack when new mentions match your criteria. Choose from instant, hourly, daily, or weekly frequency, and filter by platform, sentiment, or relevance score.
Do you have a free plan?
No. BrandSonar is paid only: Plus and Pro both include monitoring, exports, API access, alerts, and team invites. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export mentions in CSV, XLSX, JSON, or Markdown format. You can filter exports by platform, date range, relevance, sentiment, and labels.
