Analytics
The feed tells you what happened today. Analytics tells you whether this month is going better or worse than last.
Analytics sits under Mentions in the sidebar and covers your primary brand. The control in the top right sets the window to 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or a year, and everything on the page recalculates against it.
The three headline numbers
- Total mentions
- How many mentions landed in the window, at any relevance.
- Avg. relevance
- The mean score out of 100. A falling average usually means your keywords have started catching something they should not. Check negative keywords.
- Top platform
- Where the conversation actually is. Frequently not where you expected.
Mentions over time
Daily volume across the window. Useful for tying a spike to something you did, such as a launch, a post, or an outage, and for noticing the weeks when nobody said anything at all.
By platform
Counts per platform, ranked, each in its own brand colour. If one source dominates, its per-platform settings are worth a look: Reddit's minimum-upvotes threshold and X's retweet toggle are the two that move volume most. See Platforms.
Relevance distribution
How the window's mentions split across the high, medium, and low tiers. A large low band is the clearest signal that your keywords need tightening.
Top users
The accounts mentioning you most often in the window. Some of them are advocates worth knowing about; occasionally one is a single loud critic that the raw volume chart hides.
Sentiment distribution
The positive, neutral, and negative split. Watch the ratio rather than the absolute numbers. Negative mentions rise with volume, so a growing negative count on a much larger base is not the same thing as sentiment getting worse.
Competitors
Competitor brands have their own feeds rather than their own analytics page. To compare, read the competitor feed alongside this page, or export both and compare the numbers directly.
